We're just passing through. Just saw this restaurant on Maps and decided to give it a try. We're glad we did. The server was nice and recommended the filet. Good decision. The steak was tasty.

Southern casual fine dining done right! They have generous portions with a reasonable prices. The restaurant was packed on the Friday evening we were there, but they made fantastic use of the space and the lighting made things at the table feel intimate. Very friendly, down to earth staff.

Farm Fresh & Very Affordable. Great food, real ingredients. The soft sourdough bun was what really sealed the deal on this sandwich. Cajun fries A.

A visit to Zack Garvin’s is always great!! My wife and I always order the tomato fritters as an appetizer. The bread with the strawberry butter is also really good. I typically order the ribeye (it’s always really good) but I’ve tried the New York Strip, chopped steak with onions/gravy, Lafayette ribeye, etc. and everything has always been really good. I’ve never had a meal from Zack’s that wasn’t spot on.

We love Zack Garvin’s and oh that strawberry butter!!! If you don’t do anything else when you’re here just do yourself a favor and try the strawberry whipped butter!

First time visiting this area and decided to eat here. Didn’t read any reviews so I had no idea what to expect. My server, Anna B, gave me great recommendations and also was very friendly. The strawberry butter was my favorite. I have never had anything like that before. Would definitely recommend coming to this sweet place. Friendly staff and good food.

My husband and I are moving to Newton from Kansas City. We decided to visit this amazing place! It was worth it!! The place was packed, but we were served quickly. The waitress was delightful!! The food was out of this world!! Even the resident outdoor greeter (aka the cat) was inviting!! We have lived in an area with many steakhouses, and none of them even come close to the steak we had that night!! We can't wait to become regulars at this phenomenal restaurant!! Wonderful food, wonderful service and wonderful atmosphere!! If you haven't gone here you need to go!!
